“I’ve particularly enjoyed my Cryotherapy sessions at MIHP, where I’ve felt the immediate benefits including being less fatigued, and general improved physical and mental well-being. I would recommend Cryotherapy to anyone who wants to feel fresher and sharper in their sport.”

Steven Ward, 27, is a light heavyweight professional boxer and has competed at two Commonwealth Games, winning a silver medal in 2010. He has also won three Ulster Championships and is a five-time Irish senior champion.

He has made regular visits to The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance (MIHP), in the run-up to his fight at the SSE Arena on 21st April in Belfast, where he’s been working with the Performance Team and making full use of the world-class facilities on offer including the Environmental Chamber and Cryotherapy.

Steven commented: “My experience of MIHP has been first-class; from the expertise and professionalism of the Performance Team and staff, to the amazing facilities available under-one-roof. I’ve travelled over the world whilst competing in two Commonwealth Games and haven’t experienced a team or facility like this.
