At The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance, we aim to support the next generation of talent emerging from our community. We sponsor younger local athletes, giving them access to our top facilities and the expertise of our specialists, providing them with opportunities to develop their talent in the most using bespoke programmes.
But our social responsibility extends beyond elite sport. We are also committed to local projects that allow more people to enjoy good health through physical activity.
As a dedicated environment for health and performance, we are committed to promoting research and development that will benefit everyone.
All research projects will be approved by The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance Scientific Advisory Board. The board is made up of two members from each of the stakeholders, Manchester City Council, Sport England, City Football Group and HCA Healthcare UK. Each research initiative will be considered by this board to test if it is in line with the agenda of the facility. Examples of agenda’s include;
Providing children with the best start
Engaging everyone in improving their own health and well-being
Moving more healthcare into the community
We endeavour to promote the continuous professional development of health and performance professionals at the highest level. Part of our vision is also to provide health education to the local community.
Our facilities include a fully-accessible lecture theatre seating up to 50, seminar rooms, nutrition lounge and research library.
