“The resources made available to the Water Polo squads at The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance are second to none. All the MIHP staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble to make our visit memorable, they are all incredibly helpful.”
England Water Polo, both the Senior and Junior teams, have regularly been using the world-class performance facilities at The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance (MIHP) since March this year for their training sessions and also held their Cardiac Camp at the centre.
Norman Leighton, England Talent Development Officer at Water Polo, said: “Currently all of our England Senior and Junior Water Polo squads make use of the fantastic MIHP facilities for their monthly training sessions.
“The resources made available to the squads are second to none. Use of the Strength and Conditioning Gym and the Nutrition Lounge have become integral parts of the squads training programme and have given our staff a platform to deliver high quality strength and conditioning sessions like never before. All the MIHP staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble to make our visit memorable, they are all incredibly helpful.”
Rachael Dawe, Performance Lead at The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance (MIHP), added: “We are privileged to work with a team of highly committed athletes, coaches and management like Water Polo.
“It is fantastic to see a water sport utilise MIHP on a regular basis. We work endlessly with the Community Beswick Hub partners and Water Polo to ensure their training days, camps and tournaments run smoothly throughout the different facilities in and around Manchester. Water Polo is an extremely valuable user of the space and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”
