“I arrived at MIHP last week feeling like a creaky old man, after my first week of dance training, and left feeling like a new person. The effects were immediate; all my aches and pains were gone!”

Simon Rimmer, 54, celebrity chef, restaurateur and Sunday Brunch co-host is visiting The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance (MIHP) as part of his training regime for the new series of BBC 1’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Simon, who is partnered with Karen Clifton, is using the expertise and Performance facilities at MIHP to ensure he’s in the best possible condition to help get him through the grueling training sessions and performing at his optimum for the live dances.

He is visiting Sports Physiotherapist Doug Jones, and his team, for regular massages and using Cryotherapy and Hydrotherapy.

“I arrived at MIHP last week feeling like a creaky old man, after my first week of dance training, and left feeling like a new person. The effects were immediate; all my aches and pains were gone!”, Simon commented.

“The bespoke program designed for me by Doug Jones and the Performance Team at MIHP is fantastic and the facility is amazing – I would highly recommend it. My son is also having treatment here for a foot and ankle injury, although he’s yet to experience the extreme temperatures of the Cryotherapy Pod or Hydrotherapy Pools.”
